Pastificio San Marco was founded in Pistoia thanks to the initiative and spirit of a few people strongly motivated to satisfy the most 'demanding' customers, offering a handmade product very similar to the 'home-made' one.

At the beginning, Pastificio San Marco only produced semolina pasta, but later the offer was expanded, specialising also in other productions, such as egg pasta and filled pasta. A long journey, made up of years of work.

On our tables, along with many local products, there is one that has a special tradition. So that this is not lost in time, we tell you its story.
"... The “said macaroni” wanted, for layers, to be seasoned with the sauce of the gentle duck and wanted to be served in great quantities on the tables of the court and the people on the day dedicated to St. James (25 July) not before a solemn and festive ringing of bells...".
And now I will tell you the story of our maccherone pistoiese...our pasta factory wants to maintain this tradition by using top quality ingredients, national flours and selected eggs. After cutting the pasta, it is carefully stretched by hand on frames and then dried at a low temperature so as not to alter the quality of the product.

You will appreciate the quality, goodness and freshness of this artisanal product which, thanks to passion and love for tradition, continues to be present on your table.
